Hailo - The Taxi App App Reviews

Update: Hailo is taking way better care of their drivers and passengers. Uber is charging their drivers three times as much per fair and their service is more expensive. Plus uberx is straight garbage!! I love all of the taxi/car service apps out these days. Hailo has been consistently solid to this point. Ive been having better luck with them over Uber lately. Definitely worth having this app on your phone.

Everything was fine until I received my first email receipt -- Hailo charges a $.99 Hailo Fee per ride and additionally requires a gratuity which youre initially only able to start at 20% (you can later change this setting to custom and adjust it). UBER Taxi charges no fee, and you pay normally at the end of your trip.

I have been taking rides at least ten per week since day one with different Acc and CC. Safe, Fast and CLEAN (Something you will never find in Chicago). The Limo-Town-Black Car Style is really nice and easy to find. Drivers usually in kind and respectful and by miracle they dont use their cellphones when driving. I had several issues but it was ALWAYS drivers overcharges or cancelation fees (((?))) when we actually ride the car. The App is very useful and I see they changed the tip process ( pretty sure because of CHEAP PEOPLE )

Never did I seen an up work as advertised. Fast and reliable, great app to use in Ireland. Im drunk most of the time, even as I write this, and Hail is a great way to get around safely !:) cheers!

This is absolute garbage. Wouldnt accept any of my cards. Standing in the rain, no cabs in sight, and I cant get the ap running. Super!

Drivers are always nice and friendly. They were never rude unlike the other cab company in dc. Theyre doing a very nice job and excellent customer service.

First of all, great idea in theory, poor execution. If any cars are available, which is fairly rare in NYC, they have the option to cancel your trip, but you still get charged a $5 cancellation fee... I dont understand this. For no service, waiting for the supposed ride only for them to cancel last minute AND you still get charged is a terrible business model for getting repeat customers. Drivers are just any old taxi, nothing special and usually pretty rude. At least Uber regulates their drivers and cars to ensure a pleasant experience and repeat customers. Its a waste of space on your phone. Dont bother. Use Über.

By selecting a 5-6 seater, youll get the minivans that are great for big families with child pushchair.

Its just as functional as uber. GPS could be better on mobile networks, but is perfect on WiFi.

Cant compare with Ubers UX

Ive had this app for a year maybe worked twice never any available cars and I live in the east village. Uber always works its just way better

I wish it stated what cities this app provided for cause it clearly doesnt for mine . I found this out after I put all my information in .

Uber or GrabTaxi only needs it while accessing the app only.

I was going to miss my flight and this app found me a taxi in barcelona for less than 4 min.

The app is super easy to use, the drivers are friendly and the cabs take no time at all to find you. Wonderful!

Every time I opened the app, it told me try again when I go to a Hailo city. (Mind you, NYC was a Hailo city.) They never replied to my support inquiries. App deleted.

The latest update ruined a beautiful app. Now when I request a taxi at my home, they are going to the wrong place. They tell me they are where the GPS indicates but thats not where I am or my address. And the app tells me the driver has arrived, but theres no one there. Has happened 3 straight times. Pre-update I never had this in 50+ uses.

When it first came out, the app worked fine. Now they did an update and I get the message that "Hailo isnt available in your area". Hey numnuts, I live in NYC. What do you mean not available? I sent an email several weeks ago to them about the problem and never heard back. Its a useless app. Dont waste your time till they get it fixed and who k ow when that might be.

Signed up and it wasnt even available in my area and they charged me a dollar.
