Absolutely love this

Our driver, David McDermott, was one of the few taxi cabs in Dublin, Ireland, that accepted credit cards. We used this app, and it worked easily. Thank you, hailo and thank you David! When you are traveling around the world and cant pay for things easily, travel becomes not so fun. This app made it easy and our driver was great. He understood 21st century commerce.

Downloaded the app while waiting to clear customs in BCN, and included a discount for airport service at same time. Helped me arrange a taxi to my hotel, which was slightly more convenient than waiting in taxi line. Was told by Hailo the discount did not apply since I did not pre book; lame. Then was unable to use app to hail a single ride while in Barcelona. Definitely need more drivers on the service to make it useful. When Über gets to Barcelona I am guessing Hailo will be dominated.

Waste of time to download. I have tried 3 different mobile numbers each several times but not receiving verification code to start using the app. Switching to another option and deleting app.

This app, like some others, limits the selection of country codes to a very limited list. When traveling and using one of the multi country sim chips you dont have the option to register using the country code of your SIM card Total fail

Works well, excellent overall experience. Couple things they could do better at. Using gps location as origination can be problematic, better to use actual address if possible. Google maps integration does not always work, about an 80% success rate. Halo should adopt some of the WAZE features using all the halo taxis movement and speed to plan shortest Time routing , looking a the taxi interface does not seem to utilize

Using Hailo in Ireland has been a blessing. Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a ride and the app is extremely easy to use. If youre in Dublin, you need this app!

Used it in Barcelona to arrange a taxi to the airport. Worked seamlessly.

Hailo advertises much lower prices on google maps compared to actual. Was charged 23 pounds for what was advertised as 17 pound ride. Not worth it

Pretty useless. Last 3 times I tried the app they were unable to provide a taxi. Bring back Uber.

Tell you there is a taxi but keep requesting for it for a very long time

This is a shame that it is so poorly designed. The interface often brings drivers to incorrect locations (leaving customers to have to run to the driver or they get chafer full fare even when not in the car!). No option even for texting the driver. The drivers are NOT better or vetted. Simply just taxi drivers = mean and often rude. Nothing like the service of uber or the like where only better drivers get to be drivers.

Rain = no cabs. Never!

Luckily Uber still works.

If you travel where this app is one of a few that works at that place, but your phone country is not in the small list, you cant register and you cant use it. Misses Uber in Barcelona.

Would love to use the app in London but cant register as you dont list a dialing codes. For South Africa. Uber I guess

This app is perfectly executed. Payment method saved (you can even save a desired tip percentage for your rides) Just click a button, and watch a car come to you. Even sends driver name, picture, and license plate number. Once youre at your destination, you just hop out and the app does the rest. Receipt emailed immediately. Was once charged $5 for a ride I didnt take (driver error) and Hailo responded to my dispute IMMEDIATELY. I was refunded within a day and given a $15 credit for the trouble.

It worked great. Cheaper than Uber too!

I waited for cab tracked it on my phone I was notified it had arrived but it hadnt. A cab pulled up honked it got in thinking it was my halo cab and the meter started I asked and driver said not but meter was on. I immediately called the hallo driver who said he watched me get into the cab but didnt honk or anything. I said I wanted to cancel the cab. He said ok no worries. I then get a 15 dollar halo charge after I never got in the cab. The meter should never start until you enter the cab. I never did. Watch out for ripoff.

This is a God send!! No more trouble getting a taxi in the city to take me to Brooklyn, or even stop for me!! I love this App!
