One of the most useful and well thought out apps Ive downloaded.

Great app, never gives me a problem. Convenient, safe and great service!

I used it twice this weekend. Its fast, easy to pay, our cab drivers were nice!

The Hailo app functions perfectly. Sometimes the GPS might be off by a few doors but its pretty much as accurate as Google Maps is. Plus the drivers will call you if theres a disconnect in location. Its solid overall.

So far Ive used the service approximately 6 times- the cabs come quickly and the drivers have been excellent.

Quick, convenient, jump out of the car when done and secure app and payment

When I finally got a driver it was easy and convenient but I could have flagged down 10 cabs in the time it took for mine to show

At last, a taxi app that works as it is supposed to. To be able to see where your cab is and how long it will be is fantastic. Five stars when you can book a taxi in advance. Better than Uber.

I used to use Uber to get a Black Car but every single time I ordered it was either a town car or some regular car — not a sedan! :( Anyway I still used UBERBlack to get around until I found HailoBlack! Its so much cheaper and the cars are so much classier! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hailo. Best service. Thank you so much Hailo

If I was rating the app it would get 5 stars. The service in Toronto is awful. I had two drivers cancel on me after waiting a total of 15 minutes which made me late for my event. The drivers didnt cancel until their ETA to pick me up was under 1 minute. Immediately downloaded uber and got picked up within 3 minutes. Deleted hailo.

Great app. Responsive interface. Love it. So sad to hear they are pulling out of canada.

I think that Hailo is one of the best taxi apps especially in Toronto

Why do they ever bother updating this if the service is not longer available in Canada? a waste of time and space, why don’t they take it out of the app store? Luckily, I removed all my credit card info before it went, never again, very unprofessional.

Used to use Hailo in toronto for quite sometime but they discontinue providing service in toronto abruptly. Im sure uber paid you guys to windup too bad.

With no warning, it no longer is available in Montreal. Useless.

Short version: the premise of the app is you input your location and your destination and you get where youre going hassle free. That doesnt happen in practice. I arrived in Madrid and thought it would be convenient to use Hailo since Uber is not available and I do not speak Spanish. I figured the drivers would know where to pick me up and how to get where I was going. Alas, I was wrong. About 25% of the time the driver called me right away to ask me something I couldnt understand in Spanish. Presumably asking me where I am. Then inevitably when I get into the car they still ask me where I am going even though I have put it into the app. Hailo either doesnt tell them how to navigate to the destination or the drivers decide not to use its navigation feature. This is all confusing to me because there is a simple protocol: pick me up at the address I put into the app, then you will see the destination and you can drive me there. Simple, right? Apparently not. I am not sure if it is an issue with Hailo, its training of drivers, or the drivers themselves. But the entire point of simply inputting my location and my destination and knowing I will get there without hassle is lost.

Why is this in the Canada App Store when it doesnt list any cabs/taxis in Vancouver?

Fantastic system, fantastic drivers. To think that I waited so long to use Hailo, because I was afraid it might be expensive! 1. Cheaper slightly than the big companies. 2. The car comes fast, and you know exactly where it is! 3. You know each others names. 4. Receipt come right to your phone, so you dont hold the driver up. 5. No, you dont have to give your credit card details, you can still pay cash if you want. Had a problem only once: one late night, I saw no cars available, just a checkered flag... and thought all the drivers had gone home to sleep. No... turns out the app had crashed. A simple reboot fixes it (but I walked that night).
